Yet Another Solution

I've been debating for a couple of weeks now what to write on here that will bring a more consistent level of "deepness" to my posts. Not to say that they won't still be funny or weird or even half-shallow, but I've found myself writing so many choppy entries littered with bullet points lately. I want to find a consistent story to tell instead of listing my life away.

So while I've been working, cleaning, violently reading "Catching Fire," while I've been dog-mommying, boyfriending, and playing a hellacious game of phone tag with the dentist's office*, I decided the best way to keep writing between accomplishing my fear-laden gonnas was to anecdote it up. There's no reason not to tell personal stories on a blog about... well, my life.

I don't want to become a carbon copy of Hyperbole (though illustrations would really boost my storytelling). I don't want to get all irksome and depressive either in an effort to avoid using my naturally comedic writing. I just want to write, and I just want people to laugh - at me or with me.

Attaching a story to this would be forced and drawn-out, so I'll just leave things as they are while I queue up the stories as they come to me. In the meantime, I'll finally be updating Southern Sheek, so ya won't have to miss me too much.

Happy Friday!

*Yeah, that's right. Finally called 'em!

  1. Good for you, calling them! I'm proud. I'm totally on board the Fearful Train when it comes to a lot of things, so I salute you for this. Well done, girl! And I'm sure we'll enjoy whatever you write. We came here and stayed because of your personality, after all. That means every side of it, not just the deep parts! :) You're always interesting to read.

  2. Seconded! You don't have to worry about your posts being a certain way. I love reading what you have to say, however you want to say it. xoxo
