WINNING!

Do you smell that? It is the sweet, sweet musk of success.

It might be my sweat, but that'd be okay, too. Why? Because that perspiration would imply I engaged in strenuous activity yesterday, outside of moving my fingers across my laptop's keyboard. I realized there are about four easily accessible recreation areas about 50 feet behind my apartment that I'd never utilized before. Maybe it was selective attention, or maybe I'm just lazy. Whatever the reason, I finally put on my only pair of tennis shoes and conquered the .4 mile Strawberry Hill trail.

I know. Not even half a mile AND I sounded like E.T. during an asthma attack with a bad case of allergies by the time I was done. My fitness is extremely sub-par after a series of health issues, so to complete a measured trail of any length is like winning the gold medal in the Unhealthy Olympics.

After some sweeeeet Brinner with Sara & Alie and a mini Community marathon, I sent off resumés to the unending tabs of jobs I had open in Firefox. Are you counting? That's two "I'm gonnas" for two, the first time I have succeeded 100% at anything since I graduated in December. I celebrated with an excess of monkey bread.

Today, I'm gonna: hang out with Christy for St. Patty's day and see the opening of Simon Pegg's new movie. I'm also gonna try this DIY project with this bracelet that came in today:

Let's see if I can keep winning, Charlie Sheen style.

  2. LACE fingernails. I don't mess with zebra print, unless I'm making fun of it.

  3. I'm loving your blog! It's making me wanna keep up with my promises of making a ton of DIY stuff.
    To name a few:
-my nephew's quilt (He's now 4...I wanted to make it when he was a few months old.)
    -enameled bottles
    -blue mason jars
    -too many food projects

Anyway, just wanted to drop by and say hey since it's been a while.

I'm def gonna try that bracelet. "I'm gonna do that" for real. :)

  4. Ahh, I'm so glad you're liking it and that it's inspiring you! I have a lot more DIY's lined up, but am trying to start slowly since I first and foremost have to be organized and healthy before I bring anymore chaos into the mix.

Send me pics when you get your DIY's done!
