Things Making Me Laugh

1. Parks Bloopers

2. Bad Lip Reading of Twilight

3. A jolly stranger on the elevator who told me to "Have a good day, God bless!" while laughing a rich, throaty laugh, and I could tell she meant it.

4. Revisiting one of the best YouTube videos of all time.

5. People stopping their bodies/strollers/walkers/trucks, etc. in the middle of the street at the Moravian Festival and not even noticing that I am about to club them with my fists.

Busy Bee-otch

I've been non-stop lately. Even when I'm "relaxing on the couch watching a movie," I'm still constantly connected to the technology required to keep my projects going. That or loading the dishwasher for the 90th time.

I'll be back soon with a gonna-related post, but until then, here is an assortment of things that I've been doing, reading, laughing about, or making me say "WHAT, WHAT, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

----------
Terror-ridden watching and shake-crying my way through J's wisdom teeth extraction/post-surgery recovery. Good luck ever getting these painful, probably infected assholes out of my head, dentists everywhere.
----------
Missing a distinct lack of work the beach.
----------
Writing feminist rants on my Tumblr.
----------
Mitt Romney's terrible PR team. "Ol' Barry's rallyin' them YOUNG VOTERS AT THEM THERE COLLEGES!!!! POTUS SUX!!!!!"
----------
Oh, you know... Southern Sheek. It's even got its own domain now... THEY GROW UP SO FAST!
----------
Speaking of Romneysaurus, Ann, what are you wearing? Look at your life, look at your choices.

----------
Trying to get special dog to stop attempting to hump helper dog long enough for me to crack into "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."
----------
WHAT?!?!?!?!

Now I'm going to go snuggle up to ol' Wisdom Teefless and get some shut-eye, but I'll be back with a legit entry soon, loves!

While You Were Sleeping

I've wrestled with insomnia for most of my life, but have proudly had it under control for the best part of a year. However, it's recently returned (probably due to my mid-day, allergy induced naps) and here's how I pass the time:

- Eat egg sandwiches at 11:30 p.m.
- Try to empty my mind about The Hunger Games by watching way too much TV. HG trailer comes on, all bets are off.
- Try to enrich my mind by reading, catch major case of ADHD 15 minutes later.
- Read articles like this that inspire me, yet also reignite my blind rage with the politicians trying to infringe on women's rights.
- Watch some more TV. Probably something I don't really like or have seen 86 times already.
- Search for new recipes. Almost cry as stomach starts growling... again.
- Chug lemon water from a mason jar.
- Ponder over whether this is actually Jason Mraz or a celebrity body snatcher:
- Become overwhelmed with nauseating sleepiness.
- Crawl into bed beside my cuddly man.
- Almost rip the sheets in half when I close my eyes and am wide awake again.
- Stare at the ceiling in the dark for a couple of hours. Pass out without warning.

Off My Game

It's been a crazy week at work, so I'm kind of fried right now. I really want to write something of substance for once, but my brain ain't havin' it. I'm thinking in short, discombobulated sentences, so that's all you get for now, my friends.

Here's my new hair. It's alarmingly shorter, so that should indicate how long my hair actually was to those who have not seen it or been attacked by it in person.

OH, JUST STOP IT! As if it's not hard enough waiting for this movie, these Hollywood assholes have to release this picture and make me want it more.

Revenge, why you so good?

Rachel Bilson, I love you.

BF and I got a gym membership today, and I already have a start-up appointment with a personal trainer tomorrow. Good time to remember I don't own a pair of tennis shoes. Word.

And last but not least, due to my other horrid habit I've resolved to overcome this year (procrastination), I have not yet called the dentist. I shall do so tomorrow on my day off.

Random Thoughts II

  • I am scared of everything, so I'm thinking about covering every mirror in my house with post-its that say: "Hey, dumbass, do you know why you're scared of everything? Because you marathon horror movies when you're home alone all day, as if this will alleviate your crippling fear of the random creaks your house makes throughout the night."
  • Simon Pegg's autobiography should be required reading for all high school students.
  • I should probably be sent to rehab for Internet and TV addiction, but there's not cable there.
  • If this model is plus size, let us all kill ourselves now because we, as society, are awful and stupid.
  • I will never be as funny as Allie Brosh. I can live with this, but with much shame and darkness.
  • "Top Gear" is magical.
  • My house is full of many delectable foods to make a hearty breakfast, but I instead choose to start my day with peanut butter crackers and a piece of dark chocolate.
  • Oh, hey, remember those approximately MILLION entries I've written about how the generation before us FUCKED UP OUR EXPECTATIONS OF REALITY? Someone is finally apologizing. Thanks, John Cheese. P.S. I really enjoy your food.

..... I just realized there still might be some people out there who don't understand linking. See the words in different colors throughout this entry? Those are links. CLICK THEM!

Wherein I Post Really Random Thoughts

While I'm working on (and filming) my October gonnas, I have had many a thought. Nothing to quite force an HB entry out of me, but still thoughts nonetheless. Since I've been so silent, I figured hey, what the hell? Who doesn't love a good strain of weird and pointless thoughts?
  • Don't shave your legs while listening to Beyonce ballads as the two will completely cancel each other out.
  • Why do people have to post about their children on Facebook every 10 seconds? I can't scroll through my news feed without hitting a baby related status every other entry. I honestly don't care that your weird little thing made this today or walked two feet yesterday. I've never seen so many toddlers get so many digital ego strokes. If I posted superfluous stati (?) about my boyfriend, or my dog, or my Wii, or myself 24/7, I would be deleted from 85+ news feeds in a flash. Just because your baby is debatably cute doesn't make it an exception to the rule.
  • The world would be a better place if everyone watched "Parks and Recreation."
  • Ya know, I think I'm just gonna start updating my status every 15 minutes about how I get to sleep a full night, get drunk if and when I want to, how adorable my boyfriend is, and how I can stay away from home for extended periods of time. Word.
  • I'm 99% positive there is something haunting my house. It's currently making the creepiest noises in recorded history, but I'm too stricken with fear to run.
  • Oh, God, I forgot about the FB people who post absurd political quotes every two seconds... dammit!
